I've been working so hard on putting Love Metal together these past 5 months, and I'm SO happy I can finally share it with you guys!! By Feburary I was already like "Auuuugh I want to draw it noooow!!" but I had to take it slow and work out everything step by step.

Now there are a couple of things that I plan to do regarding Love Metal. I had a lot of trouble these past few months deciding how long this story should be. Should I make it a short story/one-shot? Or should I make it a mini series with chapters? It was a real struggle. After going through and rereading the scripts over and over and looking over the pacing of the thumbnails I had at the time, I finally decided it would be best for Love Metal to be drawn as a mini series with chapters. Don't get me wrong, I still intend for it to be a short story, but with everything that happens, there's just no way for me to fit it all into a short amount of pages without it feeling rushed and compressed. There are a couple of climactic-like scenes that will take up more than one page, and for those, I plan to post all the pages for them when it gets to those points in the story (more than likely it would only be like 2 or 3 pages at the most).
Well, those are basically my plans for Love Metal, for the moment anyway.

Alright, now for whats going on this summer, other than Love Metal.
Here's some good news- I finally quit my horrible part time job at the movie theater!
You have no idea how relieved I am to finally be out of there! It's such a great feeling! No worries though, I'm still making money so I can pay rent. I actually have 3 other jobs now.
Yup. I love them already! 2 of them don't even deal with customers, 1 does, but it only gets like 14 customers a day! The hours are very flexible and I get a lot of time off (weekends! WHOOH!!) and in each of them, I'm able to do homework and stuff when it's slow, meaning I can work on my manga during that time! Oh yeah! So, job-wise I'm doing pretty damn great right now!Now for some bad news-
I've told a lot of you that I was going to try and get a table at Tokyo in Tulsa this year.
Well, unfortunately, that might not happen. I don't know. I'm really mad about it, because when I went to submit my form, everything went smoothly, it submitted without anything popping up to say "We're sorry, all of the tables are now taken" which has happened to me in the past btw! Then I get a little message at the end saying they would send me an invoice in the next 1 to 2 days. So...I figured I had the table and all I would have to do is pay for it when I got the invoice and I'd be just fine!
Well guess what? I never recieved my invoice. Instead, I received and email that told me I was put ON THE FREAKING WAITING LIST!!
I felt like such a moron! I had already made a post on facebook that I had my table secured, and over 70 of my friends liked it and were congratulating me. Guess I should have been 100% sure. Maybe things have changed since I last tried to get a table, back then I was told from the beginning that the tables were taken and that I was put on the waiting list. No instead they give me false hope and made me wait 3 days to receive the news! Yeah, that sounds like a great system!
Well, nothings set in stone JUST yet. I'll find out how close I am once they put up their waiting list (which they haven't done yet, its been 2 weeks already damn it!)
The latest I can get my stuff prepared for a convention is probably the end of May. So if I don't know by then, then it's not gonna happen. Which really sucks, because I was so looking forward to finally doing it this year!
The nice side of all this, is that if I know for sure I'm not gonna have a table, then at least I won't have to deal with the unavoidable stress that I would go through trying to prepare everything for the con. This way I can put all of my energy on Love Metal for the whole summer.
